What is fish finger? It means fish stick?

Yeah, I think that fish fingers are called fish sticks everywhere else in the world!

But a fish finger is so much more than a fish stick! It's also covered in breadcrumbs (or sometimes batter). That's the distinction I think!
Ah! Not being very familiar with the phenomenon known as a 'fish stick' I didn't know that they were sans breadcrumbs/batter...

I also didn't know until yesterday that when the huge blocks of fish are delivered to the factory, they are submitted to x rays to locate any hidden bones that remain...
